The new racing championship in Cyprus for 2009-2010 is the Cyprus Winter Series by the RC Organizers club! It will have 5 races in total, held at the best Cyprus off-road tracks and attracting many racers both experienced and new.

Round 1 was held at the MaxxTraxx track in Larnaca. Great weather, technical & demanding track, and medium grip with lap times in the 50sec range. The organizers put together a fantastic event with great promotion, DJ with live music, plenty of cups and gifts for everyone, and a tight timetable.

Team XRAY was present with 15 cars out of the 35 drivers present. After the qualifiers it was Nicolas Christoforou driving an XB808 who TQâ™d and held it after the semi-final too. Behind him by mere hundredths of a second behind was Costas Agrafiotis driving another XB808. After the semis there were no less than 8 XRAY XB808 models in the 10-car final! Good cooperation within the team, nicely set up cars, and help for the new members was the key to success.

In the final, Christoforou was in the lead until the first refueling. Agrafiotis â“ who dropped back after a roll in the first lap â“ managed to pass and pull slowly away to take the win ahead of Christoforou (2nd) and Neofitou (3rd).
